Born in Lausanne (Switzerland), Victor Jaquier is a director of animated and live action films.

After studying at the Beaux-Arts in Geneva, he moved to Paris and directed an episode of the fantasy anthology Sable Noir, produced by the Canal+ group. He then worked in advertising agencies, while developing his short fiction projects. In 2021, he released his first 2D animated film, Le Vigneron et la Mort (Death and the Winemaker). The film was nominated for the Swiss Film Award and travelled to over 50 festivals, including Clermont-Ferrand.

His next live action short film will be Le Gros Poisson du Lac, an adaptation of the Swiss writer CF Ramuz. Currently a freelance director, he has worked for advertising clients such as Chopard, Breguet, IWC, Jaeger-Lecoultre, Honda and many others.
